Gunbower - Sept 2015

Leaving Swan Hill we drove along the Murray Valley Highway towards our next camp site at Gunbower. Even though it was only 112 km's, we took over 5 hours as we did more geocaches on the way!

We stopped at Reedy Lakes and found another reference to those unfortunate explorers, Burke & Wills. They stopped here on Sept 4th 1860. A sign was put up to mark the 150th anniversary of this.

We had lunch in Cohuna before continuing on to Gunbower where we stayed two nights.

While in the area we visited Torumbarry Weir and explored around Gunbower Island.

The old truck was near a cache in the town of Leitchville.

As well as driving in to Echuca, a place where we've spent quite a bit of time, we also looked around the district of Patho where many of J's relatives came from.
